Noa Kleisen, Founder & Artistic Director
Noa Kleisen is a Dutch pianist currently living in Vienna.
She founded the Joie de Vivre International Chamber Music Festival in 2021.
To compensate for the lack of performance opportunities during the pandemic, she came up with the idea to create a platform, emphasising the value and importance of classical music, and connecting young musicians from different cultures.
Joie de Vivre– Joy of Living– describes the delight of making music. The situation surrounding the pandemic led me to create an environment where the joy of making music together is central.
I have a great passion for French music and I discovered a lot of "gems" within the French chamber music repertoire that are not often performed. The liveliness and freshness of this music is the guiding principle of this festival.
Throughout my career I have come to meet many wonderful musicians from all over the world.
Due to the hectic lifestyle of the classical music profession, it is not easy to stay connected.
Reuniting musicians during the Joie de Vivre Festival has become a huge part of my drive and motivation to continue developing the Joie de Vivre community, and it’s one of the most rewarding and appreciated achievements of the festival.
