KLIMT VILLA

Located in the Hietzing district of Vienna and built in the early 1920s the white neo baroque villa sits in the middle of Gustav Klimt’s 6’000 m² garden. Klimt used the villa as a studio from 1911 until his death in 1918 and worked on over 50 paintings including his famous paintings “Adele Bloch-Bauer II”, “Friederike Beer”, “Die Braut” and “Adam und Eva”. The Villa used to be a ground-level garden hause which was then renovated in 1923 by the Klein family into a unique room within a room villa with Klimt’s studio preserved after his death.
