Jakob Arndt

Cello

Jakob was born in Frankfurt am Main in 2000 where he received his first cello lessons at the age of 5. In 2011 he moved to Vienna and was accepted into Maria Grün’s gifted class at the Johann Sebastian Bach Music School. Since September 2015 he has been admitted to the preparatory course with Prof. Nagy at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna and after that he started his regular studies in the class of Prof. Vardai in 2018.

Over the years he won several prices at national and international competitions all over Europe. Additionally, he took part in master classes with Reinhard Latzko, Wen-Sinn Yang, Gustav Rivinius, David Geringas and many more. Next to several recitals, Jakob also performed numerous Solo-Concerts with different orchestras from Germany and Austria.

Also, Jakob is also an enthusiastic and dedicated chamber musician. He performed in various formations over the time and has been a member of the Rubik Quartet since early 2023.
